Monem made JI Karachi chief again

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Monday “reappointed” incumbent Monem Zafar as the chief of its Karachi chapter for the 2025–2028 term.

The decision was made by Central Chief of the JI, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman following a democratic consultation process with party members in Karachi, who exercised their right to vote through ballots. Monem Zafar had earlier taken charge of JI Karachi after Hafiz Naeemur Rehman was elected as the central chief of the party.

The oath-taking ceremony for Monem Zafar will be held on Tuesday, November 11, at Idara Noor-e-Haq, the JI statement said.
