For nearly a century, the real power shaping our world has not resided in the hands of elected politicians or legislative bodies. Instead, it has been concentrated within powerful financial networks. Hedge funds, corporations, and investment houses operate behind the scenes and they quietly steering the global order.
These influential entities own and control the industries that have fueled the progress of the modern era: oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, defense, technology, media and banking. Through their vast capital, they have influenced governments, crafted regulations to suit their interests, and orchestrated both wars and economic recoveries. Politicians may rise and fall, but these decision-makers persist remaining invisible, connected, and beyond the reach of accountability.
The rise of social media began to disrupt this hidden power structure. For the first time in human history, information was no longer solely filtered through carefully controlled channels. The so-called “invisibly visible decision makers” (IVDMs) found themselves under scrutiny as social media enabled ordinary people to question, investigate, and expose the forces behind policy decisions, wars, pandemics, and market crashes. The powerful hedge funds and financial institutions that had long shaped the world from the shadows were suddenly thrust into the open, making their influence over governments and global institutions increasingly difficult to deny.
Just as these networks were trying to adapt to the new transparency brought about by social media, a fresh disruption emerged: Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI, or “A-Eye,” as I refer to it became their greatest nightmare. Unlike humans, AI is emotionless, analytical, and incapable of deception. It brought data-driven truths out into the public realm, bypassing the human filters that once protected the powerful from exposure.
Confronted with increasing exposure and loss of control, the IVDMs responded by tightening their grip. They began backing authoritarian regimes and installing leaders who could be managed, coerced, or manipulated to protect their interests. These regimes were encouraged to centralize power, restrict freedom of speech, and suppress dissent. In this new order, the abuse of authority was no longer a flaw but a deliberate feature designed to maintain control.
Those who dared to oppose this system were systematically silenced or “fixed.” Yet, despite the repression and attempts to stifle opposition, people around the world are beginning to awaken to these realities. History shows that once this awakening starts, the ability to maintain control inevitably weakens and cannot last forever.
Change may ultimately come through collective struggle, as people unite to demand accountability and transparency. Alternatively, it may come through an act of fate or divine intervention. However, while belief in the latter remains significant for many, it is not a strategy for change.
