Jammu Martyrs’ Day: Attaullah Tarar Federal Minister, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting
Today, as we observe Jammu Martyrs’ Day, we pay solemn homage to the innocent peoples of Jammu and Kashmir who were mercilessly massacred and courageously embraced martyrdom in November 1947 while resisting tyranny and oppression. Their supreme sacrifices remain a lasting symbol of courage, faith, and the unyielding spirit of the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
The Jammu Martyrs’ Day reminds the world of the grave injustices and brutalities faced by the Kashmiri people over the decades. Despite relentless oppression, they continue to demonstrate extraordinary resilience and an unwavering commitment to their just cause.
On this solemn occasion, the Government and people of Pakistan reaffirm their steadfast political, diplomatic, and moral support for the valiant people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in their legitimate struggle for freedom in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The sacrifices of the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir will never be forgotten. Their blood continues to inspire generations to stand firm against tyranny and injustice. Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters until they achieve their inalienable right to self-determination.
