NEW DELHI: India’s air force will hold an training exercise on Thursday and Friday in the country’s east but it is not connected to last week’s border scuffles with China in the region, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said.

India’s defence minister said this week that Indian troops prevented Chinese soldiers from entering Indian territory on Dec. 9 during a border scuffle that led to injuries on both sides.

China said Indian troops had illegally crossed a de-facto border to block a routine patrol of Chinese troops.

It was the first such clash between the Asian giants since 2020, when 20 Indian and four Chinese soldiers were killed.

Indian media have reported that the IAF scrambled jets during the latest clash in the Himalayan region of Tawang, located in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, which is also claimed by China.

The IAF said on Thursday its Eastern Air Command would conduct an exercise to train its crew.

“This exercise was planned well in advance of the recent developments in Tawang and is not associated with these events,” it said.

PRC Confidence - 1 If the Indian Weasels wanted to hurt PRC - it would BAN exports to PRC,and not, curtail imports FROM PRC. What are the imports banned from PRC ? There are 2 types - Industrial imports and Consumer Imports.By banning Consumer imports, the Indians are making the Indian Consumer,PAY MORE,by sourcing from Indian Suppliers ! How does that HARM PRC ? dindooohindoo

PRC Confidence - 2 Due to Demo,GST & COVID,these Indian Products, are sold at much higher rates,to the Indian consumers - & the Bania manufacturers & traders, are just lining their pockets - at the cost of the members, of the dead Indian Soldiers,in Galwan.dindooohindoo By curtailing Industrial Imports from PRC - the Indian state has increased the cost of production,of Indian Units,& made them unviable,& increased, the stressed assets of Indian banks.Again, the domestic suppliers of the banned Chinese imports, are Hindoo Bania manufacturers & traders - none of whom, have been killed in any war, of India - right from WW 1. If the Indian State REALLY WANTED to HURT PRC - the Indian State would have banned, the exports to PRC.By doing so, the global rates of the materials, MIGHT have increased, in Global markets - hurting Chinese corporates (by increasing their sourcing costs),& also, INCREASED THE REALISATIONS OF THE EXPORTS,OF SAID MATERIALS,BY INDIAN CORPORATES,TO ALTERNATIVE BUYERS.
