PESHAWAR: Advisor to KP CM on Energy Himayatullah Khan Tuesday said beside royalty on oil and gas, the provincial government has also taken steps for obtaining net profit on hydel power generation.
He further said the Council of Common Interest (CCI) has accepted the stance of the provincial government. The meeting also evolved consensus on collective efforts for securing the rights of the province.
Himayatullah was speaking in a meeting of the standing committee of KP Assembly on inter-provincial coordination committee, held here with Sardar Hussain Babak in chair. Besides the committee members including MPAs Ahmad Khan Kundi, Sirajuddin, Malik Wajidullah, Abbas-ur-Rehman, Naeema Kishwar and Asiya Saleh Khattak, the higher authorities of energy and finance departments also attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed in detail about receipts from oil, gas and water resources of the province.
