KARACHI: Sindh Excise & Taxation (E&T) department on Thursday claimed to have collected over Rs27,471 million revenue up to October 2020.
The provisional statistics were disclosed at a meeting attended by Secretary Excise & Taxation and Narcotics Control Laeeq Ahmed, Director Generals Haji Saleem Bhutto, Munir Ahmed Zardari, Directors Nasir Hussain Affandi, Iqbal Leghari and other officers.
From July 2020 to October 2020, Rs2790.714 million was collected as motor vehicle tax, Rs22029.795 million as infrastructure cess, Rs238.685 million as professional tax and Rs866.661 million as property tax. In addition, Rs36.007 million was collected as cotton fee and Rs5.713 million was generated on account of entertainment duty.
