Canadian police arrest suspect behind Quebec stabbings

(Karachi) Police in Canada's Quebec City have arrested a man on suspicion of killing two people and injuring five others in a stabbing rampage near the provincial legislature on Halloween, Al Arabiya English reported on Sunday.
As per details, local police said the suspect is in his mid-20s and was dressed in medieval clothing. They confirmed two have died and five others are hurt in the incident. However, the police said that the motive for the attacks is yet to be ascertained.
Police said five victims have been transported to a hospital, however, there was no immediate word on their conditions.
Police are asking those in the area to remain indoors.
Earlier, three people died in a knife attack at a church in France's Nice city. Police officials said that the suspect was a 21-year-old Tunisian national who had arrived in France earlier this month. He had a document issued by the Italian Red Cross.
The police identified the attacker as Brahim Aioussaoi. They said he had travelled by boat from Tunisia to the Italian island of Lampedusa in September. He was placed in coronavirus quarantine there before being released and told to leave Italy.
