Alarmingly, the number of positive coronavirus-19 cases is on the rise again in the country. One of the reasons behind this surge is people's highly flawed and unwise approach to the pandemic challenge. It seems all of us have thrown caution to the wind; in other words, we have started to behave in a way that is not considered sensible or careful from medical point of view. Not all schools observing Covid-19 protocols properly. As of yesterday, the number of confirmed cases in the country had reached 338,880. There appears to be a complete breach of the SOPs in this regard; the number of those wearing facemasks and gloves has drastically reduced since the past few weeks.
What is more alarming in my view is the fact that the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has confirmed increased positive cases in doctors and other support staff even though everybody has been directed to follow all SOPs very strictly.
