The writing is on the wall?

It is quite clear that the incumbent government is finding it difficult to encounter a difficult situation. The Gujranwala rally of opposition parties through which they have formally started an anti-government campaign seems to have unnerved the ruling party. It was evident from the stormy session of PTI parliamentary committee chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday. In that meeting, PTI lawmakers warned the government to get ready to face "rotten eggs, tomatoes and worse" due to "poor" performance of the ministers, and rising inflation.

The current price hike and rising inflation seem to have strengthened opposition parties' anti-government resolve. The government will surely face a more unsavoury situation if it fails to take some remedial steps immediately. There are clear signs that the present situation is going to become very difficult or unpleasant if it doesn't pull its socks up.
