Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his condolences over the martyrdom of 20 security personnel including soldiers in two terrorist attacks in Balochistan’s Ormara area and North Waziristan tribal district.

In a tweet on Friday, the PM said that the entire nation stands behind all our security forces as they continue to lay down their lives for the safety and security of Pakistan. The PM has also sought a report of the incident.

In the last two days, 20 security personnel, including six Pakistani soldiers were martyred in two terrorist attacks in Balochistan’s Ormara area and North Waziristan tribal district. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), seven personnel of the Frontier Corps and seven security guards were martyred during an encounter with a large number of terrorists on the Coastal Highway near Ormara.

On Wednesday, six soldiers including a Pakistan Army captain were martyred when two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) struck their vehicles in North Waziristan tribal district.

"Such Cowardly acts by inimical elements to sabotage peace, stability and economic development in Balochistan shall never be allowed to succeed. Moreover, these acts can not subdue resolve of our forces which are determined to defend motherland, even at the cost of their lives," ISPR said.
