At least 10 people were injured in a blast in Samungli Road, Quetta on Wednesday afternoon.

According to local media reports, unknown miscreants threw a hand grenade at laborers working in the area. Rescue teams have reached the site and are shifting the injured, including two children to the hospital.

According to Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani, seven of the injured are under treatment at Bolan Medical College while the remaining are being treated at Civil Hospital.

Last month, at least four people were injured in a blast outside a mosque on Quetta's Sariab Road. The incident took place after Friday prayers.

In August, at least five people were killed and 22 others including two soldiers of the Anti-Narcotics Force were injured in a bomb blast in the border town of Chaman. The improvised explosive device (IED) was planted on a motorcycle parked on Mall Road.
