That India's judiciary has lost its credibility and sense of justice is a fact that has found its best expression from its decision to acquit BJP leaders of conspiracy related to the mob demolition of Babri Masjid decades ago that sparked communal riots which left more than 2,000 dead, mostly Muslims. BJP and other Hindu groups, armed with pick-axes and spades, tore down the 16th-century Babri Masjid in Ayodhiya in 1992, to pave the way for the temple. The yatra was led by L.K. Advani, who was later short-changed by his own partyand rightly so. It's quite likely that Advani will not die painlessly and peacefully because of the profounding of the crime that he has committed against the humanity.

Pakistan's Foreign Office has rightly described this miscarnage of justice as yet another manifestation of the pliant judiciary under the extremist BJP-RSS regime, in which extremist "Hindutva" ideology takes precedence over all principles of justice and international norms. Subramanian Swamy seems to have successfully persuaded India's judiciary to do his bidding.
