HYDERABAD: Consul General of The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Karachi, Thatree Chauvachata said that they had sustainable trade & business relationship with Pakistan. He was addressing to the traders and industrialists at Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries (HCCI) Saturday.

Thatree Chauvachata said that the Thai companies were interested in investing in plastic, auto mobile parts and rubber industries in Pakistan while 4 Thai companies had already been investing in Pakistan. He informed that Thailand was a beautiful and attractive land for tourists and added that Thailand was exporting sea food as well.

Earlier Goharullah, President HCCI in his welcome address said that Pakistan has long historical and friendly relations with Thailand, as we enjoy similar cultural heritage but unfortunately Pakistan's trade relationship is not as strong as it should be. Pakistan's business and industrial community, therefore, gives preference to mutual strong business relationship by establishing joint ventures and enhancing their efforts in increasing the bilateral trade relationships.

The province of Sindh is rich in mining sector especially in Gas and Coal. The city of Hyderabad is also famous for its glass bangles with wide variety of colours and designs. Hyderabad has also a large number of textiles, auto-based engineering units. This area is also rich in traditional and non-traditional products having great potential for exporting these products such as handicrafts, hand knitted carpets, hosiery, embroidery, brassware, marble ware and ornamental tiles etc..

Government of Pakistan as well as Provincial Government gives guarantees and protection to foreign investment from almost all sorts of risks.
