The sudden demise of Australia’s batting great Dean Jones has left the cricket world sad, with tributes pouring from around the globe. Many, who had an interaction with the 59-year-old, regard him as one of the finest and pure hearted human being that graced their lives.

Whether it is on the field and off the field, Jones aka ‘Professor Deano’ always had something to cheer. From showing up in a suite on the match day or picking up trash from the dugout during Pakistan Super League (PSL), Deano had it all.

Following his demise, Rehan ul Haq, who had spent a lengthy spell with Dean Jones, during his three-year stint with Islamabad United shared a heartwarming screenshot, just to give us the glimpse of the personality of late Australian great.

Who can forget tears in Deano’s eyes while discussing about Asif Ali’s daughter during press conference.

Similarly, back in November 2003, Dean Jones and his wife Jane set off for the 1,115km walk on to raise funds for the Bone Marrow Donor Institute.

Meanwhile sharing his last chat with Dean Jones, Pakistan pacer Rumman Raees, who was the key member in Jones Islamabad United lineup, sharing his last conversation with the coach wrote: “This reminds me of my last chat with Deano when he told me that Rumi you are genuine person, good learner and I always loved to coach you.. Still makes me feel special, I will always be thankful to You, Deano, Errol Dean Wood Ford you guy are my family.”

Earlier, the 59-year-old passed away in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest. He was part of the commentary panel for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
