KARACHI: The flight operations of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have been disrupted due to monsoon season.
According to details, two PIA flights from Islamabad to Gilgit were cancelled and en-routed to Islamabad due to harsh weather condition. In addition, PIA flight PK451 from Islamabad to Skardu and PIA flight PK9246 Dammam-Islamabad had been delayed. Meanwhile, PIA spokesman denied that the domestic and int'l flight operations of PIA have been badly interrupted due to weather conditions, confirming that most PIA flights are operating as per flight schedule during monsoon season. Furthermore, he said that only two flights from Islamabad to Gilgit were cancelled while the flights from Islamabad to Skardu and Dammam to Islamabad flight were delayed.
