Progress review on PSDP Plus: 'Efforts on to encourage private sector to leverage investments'

ISLAMABAD: Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Mohammed Jehanzeb Khan chaired a progress review meeting on the PSDP Plus here on Wednesday, said a press release.

Secretary Planning Mathar Niaz Rana, CEO PPP Authority Malik Ahamd, provincial chief secretaries, representative from the PM's Office, and senior officials of the Planning Commission, were also present in the meeting.

Deputy Chairman Planning Commission said the government wanted to encourage private sector to leverage investments. "Our priority is to get state-of-the-art technology in the best possible indigenization." He said the Public Private Partnership Authority would only consider complex proposals that required high order thinking and analysis, proposals with viability gaps, and should exclude any routine projects for which other financial mediums were available.-PR
