BAHAWALPUR: Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Capt (retd) Saqib Zafar presided over a meeting held to review progress of construction work of Railway Station Bahawalpur.
Commissioner directed the concerned officers to complete the construction on time so that people can benefit from State-of-the Art facility. He said that encroachments around the Railway Station would also be eradicated to bring the beauty of new building to foreground.
Project Manager National Logistics Cell Major (retd) Muhammad Arshad told the meeting that the building of Railways Station would be handed over to Pakistan Railways after completion till April 30. He told that 65 per cent work has been completed with a cost of Rs 278.4 million and construction is underway in two-shifts.
The meeting was told that Rs 147 million would be spent on civil works, Rs 4.93 on water supply and sewerage system, Rs 11.135 million on electric work, Rs 113.7 million on outer platform road and parking while Rs 1.6 million would be used on landscaping and renovation of Railway Station.
