ALMATY: Kazakhstan's foreign trade surplus widened to $19.0 billion last year from $11.4 billion in 2016, the Statistics Committee said on Thursday.
Italy and China were Kazakhstan's largest export markets in the period, accounting for 17.9 percent and 12.0 percent of revenue, respectively. Kazakhstan's main exports are oil and metals.
Russia provided 39.2 percent of all Kazakhstan's imports in the period, followed by China, with 16.0 percent.
