KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Monday at 24,229.31 points with a negative change of -224.54 and volume of 133,119,900 shares. High and Low were 24,570.85 and 24,188.95 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 6 were up, 23 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 215,319,500 shares. Total companies traded were 352 of which 124 were positive, 212 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Textile Composite was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 38,204,100 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 24,918,750 shares.

The top three advancers were Shifa International Hospitals Limited with a volume of 500 and price per share of 310.66 (14.78), Blessed Textiles Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 306.32 (14.43), Wah Noble Chemicals Limited with a volume of 19,700 and price per share of 270.80 (12.89).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 7,400 (-101.00), Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 8,300 (-87.50), Murree Brewery Company Limited with a volume of 18,150 and price per share of 988.55 (-51.46).
