ASTORE: Executive Engineer Water and Power Fayyaz Alam on Monday said the department has succeeded to overcome the issue of load-shedding and 24-hour power was being supplied to the area.
Talking to media persons, he said the power stations of Louse, Doyan, Rattu and Perishing were successfully operating round the clock and producing required power supply.
He informed that in past, the load-shedding was used to be observed in three months-January, February and March for two hours due to power shortage in the district, but now the issue has been resolved. He said four new power projects were being built due to which the electricity problems would be resolved for ever following operation of these units.
Answering a question, he said the two megawatt project at Shogorut had been kicked off which would benefit the area people, adding that about Rs46 million had been allocated for this project.
