ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik on Thursday took notice of frequent fatal incidents due to faulty CNG cylinders in public and private vehicles and said proper remedial measures are being adopted to avoid such incidents in future.
He directed Secretary Interior to ascertain data and reports of such incidents, taken place in the recent past from all provincial governments, so that manufacturers of such faulty CNG cylinders, which caused loss and damage of precious human lives, could be taken into task by taking legal action against them under criminal laws.
Director General, National Police Bureau (NPB), is therefore asked to take appropriate action to get data from all Inspectors General of Police regarding such incidents.
He would formulate a comprehensive report and also an appropriate action by Ministry of Interior and provincial governments accordingly.
