KARACHI: Governor of Sindh, Muhammad Zubair here on Thursday paid glowing tributes to the Bohri citizens for their discipline and consequent contribution towards the progress and development of the province.

During his visit to the Jamia Al Saifia Arabic Academy run under the aegis of Dawoodi Bohra Jamaat, he appreciated that members of the community due to their exemplary code of conduct have set a precedent in the field of trade and business followed by health and education sectors.

"How can we ever forget your efforts to sustain business activities in Karachi even during most tumultuous times," commented the Governor.

He further appreciated that members of Bohra community were among the most peaceful citizens and their services to the province of Sindh in particular and Pakistan in general were recognized at every level.

Governor Muhammad Zubair recalling the last visit of Dr. Syedna Muffadal Saifuddin during the month of Ramzan and addressing a series of Majalis attended by members of the community from across the globe, said this had sent a direct message to the world about restoration of sound peace in Karachi.

Expressing his gratitude to the religious leader of Bohra community for his stay in Karachi during an important month of Islamic calendar, he hoped that Dr. Syedna Muffadal will continue to visit the country at regular interval.

Sindh Governor was informed that 800 students were enrolled with Jamia Al Saifia and that its sister institutions were also functional at Mumbai and Surat in India besides Kenya, the capital of Nairobi.

The Jamia in Karachi was said to be established in 1966 while was shifted to the new building at North Nazimabad in 1983.

"It is heartening to notice the unique combination of religious cum regular education imparted to the children and youth at the facility," said Sindh Governor.

He particularly expressed his interest in the library functional on the premises of the facility where rare manuscripts and precious texts were available for the researchers and people with any interest in the same.
