D G Khan Cement has posted Rs 2,071.595 million as profit after tax (un-consolidated) in the nine month period ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 177.249 million earned in the corresponding period in 2011. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Wednesday declared that the company's earning per share has surged to Rs 4.73 in the period under review against Re 0.40 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's sales increased to Rs 16.704 billion in this period against Rs 13.078 billion in the same period last year. The cost of sales increased to Rs 11.191 billion against Rs 10.131 billion.
The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 2,775.648 million in this period against Rs 423.448 million in the same period a year back.
On quarterly basis, the company posted Rs 792.155 million translating earning per share of Rs 1.81 in the quarter ended March 31, 2012 against after tax loss of Rs 14.887 million with per share loss of Re 0.03 in the same quarter last year.
