Cottonseeds oilcakes prices were sharply higher on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in process of moderate trading, dealers said. Only one change was seen on the seed sector, where cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh picked up Rs 100 to Rs 500-800, other items did not show any change in process of trading, they said.
On the grams side, grams Australia No 1 gained Rs 200 to Rs 7200-7500, grams dal Australia No 1 followed the same pattern, rising by Rs 100 to Rs 8500-8800, yellow peas Canada, however, shed Rs 50 to Rs 4200-4400, yellow peas dal Canada lost the same amount to Rs 4700-4900, yellow peas Russia also shed the equal amount to Rs 4000-4200, yellow peas dal Russia dropped the equal amount to Rs 4500-4700, they said.
On the cereal sector wheat old Bardan and wheat new Bardan rose by Rs 15 to Rs 2590-2640, other commodities retained the overnight levels due to balanced demand and supply position, they said. On the rice counter Irri-6 Sindh, after maintaining steady trend, low type was up by Rs 75 to Rs 3450 and the best quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3550 on strong demand, they added.
