Schemes worth Rs 60 million inaugurated in Malakand: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Engineer Muhammad Hamayun Khan, formally inaugurated various developmental schemes worth Rs 60.00 million in Thana area of District Malakand on Monday. These schemes included WSS Srogatan, Palai Cheena, construction of IT Block and Hostel in Boys Degree College Thana and construction of I.T Block and additional rooms in Girls College Thana.
Addressing the public gatherings on the eve of inauguration of these developmental schemes, the minister claimed that during his ministership in the last four years, more than 100 percent developmental work has been carried out in District Malakand as compared to the past. He further said that he has served all the people of Malakand without taking into consideration any political affiliation and has provided to people the basic amenities of life at their doorstep.
Engineer Hamayun said during the last 4 years besides four degree college, one polytechnic college and certain high schools, an institution for education and rehabilitation of handicapped persons has been established in district Malakand, which would help provide technical and higher education to the inhabitants of the area.
The provincial minister added that due to his personal efforts water coolers in all the mosques and Darul Ulooms have been installed whereas he announced installation of water-coolers in all the colleges, schools, hospitals and public places during the next year which will provide cool drinking water facilities to the people.
The finance minister said as much as developmental schemes he carried out in the area, was not a favour to the people of Malakand but rather it was right of the people and his prime duty as a public representative. He has tirelessly worked for the overall developmental of the area with full dedication of service to the people and without political affiliation and would continue the same zeal and zest in future. The minister said that he has entered the political arena with the sole aim of service of the poor which he considered as a matter of honour for himself, Engineer Hamayun concluded.
