The Karachi Port has handled 286,551 tonnes of cargo including 188,150 tonnes of import; 98,401 tonnes of export cargo and 5,298 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during the last 48 hours of business activities ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 188,150 tonnes comprised of 84,506 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 15,850 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 32,645 tonnes of coal cargo; 6,034 tonnes of rock phosphate, 8,030 tonnes of Urea and 41,085 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 98,401 tonnes comprised of 73,810 tonnes of total containerised cargo; 35 tonnes of b bulk cargo; 2,700 tonnes of cement cargo; 11,168 tonnes of loose bulk cement cargo; 158 tonnes of rice cargo and 10,530 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
A total number of 1,923 loaded 20' containers and 1,330 loaded 40' containers are handled during the reported period. While there are 167 unloaded 20' containers and 274 unloaded 40' containers are handled during the business hours on Monday. A total number of twelve cargo vessels namely Maistrus, APL Sokhna, Kota Akbar, C S L Ride, Teamworth No-1, APL Brisbane, Sea Mirror, Yvonne, Yamamah, Olivia, OOCL Busan and Hua Qiang are sail out to the sea during the business activity hours on Monday.
There are total number of ten cargo vessels namely oLIVIA, Hyundai Highness, MOL Bravery, Parmis, Scirocco, Hellespont Crusader, Bhai Ravi, Hua Qaing, UBC Chilli and Spar Lupus are currently occupying the berth to load/offload containerised cargo, oil tankers, generalised cargo containers and bulk cargo containers respectively during the reported period of business on Monday.
A total number of five cargo vessels namely Parmis, Bhai Ravi, Hellespont Crusader, UBC Chilli and Hyundai Highness carrying containerised cargo containers, Oil tankers, containerised cargo, bulk cargo containers and containerised cargo containers are expected to sail out to the sea on Saturday, while there are only two cargo vessels namely Mol Bravery and Scirocco carrying containerised cargo and, oil tankers are expected to sail out to the sea on Monday.
There are only two cargo vessels namely Marcampania and hanjin Durban carrying containerised cargo is expected to arrive on Monday evening, while there are total number of four more cargo vessels namely Zante, Cap Verde, Malaspine Castle and Sea Gull K carrying base containerised cargo, Talcum powder and APLM Kernel Fatty Acid respectively are expected to arrive during at the business activity hours on Monday.

PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port's activities of total cargo volume of 34,296 tonnes including 27,156 tonnes of import; 7,140 tonnes of export cargo and the total number of 1,013 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) are handled during the last 24 hours of the business activity on Monday. The total import cargo volume of 27,156 tonnes comprised of 13,023 tonnes of chemicals and 14,133 tonnes of containerised cargo are handled during the business activity hours of the port on Monday.
The total export cargo volume of 7,140 tonnes, comprised of 7,140 tonnes of containerised cargo is handled during the reported period of activities on Monday. There are only two cargo vessels namely M V Maersk Utah and M V Argent Gerbera carrying containerised cargo and edible oil tankers respectively are sailed out to the sea from Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Container Terminals respectively on Monday morning. A total number of two cargo vessels namely M V Maersk Utah and M V Argent Gerbera are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containerised cargo, and edible oil tankers cargo respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Monday.
There is only one cargo vessel namely M V Safemarine Ngami carrying containerised cargo is currently to line up at the outer anchorage to sail out to the sea at Qasim International Container Terminals on Monday. There is only one cargo vessel namely M V Safemarine Ngami carrying containerised cargo is expected to arrive at Qasim International Containers Terminal during the business activity hours on Monday.
