The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday sought reply from Secretary Railways on a petition challenging closure of Quetta Express train. The petitioner, a citizen, contended that it was the only train, which was being run in all the four provinces and hence promoting national integrity and harmony. He pointed out that pilgrims going to Iran also use the train.
He maintained that the train was closed down due to mismanagement of Railways officials, causing immense problems to the commuters. He, therefore, prayed the court to direct railways administration to restore Quetta Empress.
