The University of Karachi on Sunday announced admission to its post-graduate programme for the academic year 2012. A University spokesperson said that the admissions would be in M. Phil./Ph.D. and M.S.(Surgery)/M.D. (Medicine) for session 2012.
The admissions are open to various disciplines at University of Karachi institutes and faculties including the Faculty of Science the Department of Agriculture, Chemistry, Botany, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Food Science and Technology, Genetics, Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Physiology, Statistics and Zoology are offering M.Phil./Ph.D. Programmes whereas in Faculty of Arts - Arabic, Economics, Education, General History, International Relations, Islamic History, Mass Communication, Persian, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Sindhi, Sociology, Social Work, Special Education and Urdu, in Faculty of Pharmacy - Pharmaceutics, in Faculty of Management and Administrative Science - Karachi University Business School and Public Administration, in faculty of Islamic Studies Islamic Learning, Quran and Sunnah and Islamic Studies (SZIC), Faculty of Medicine - MS (Surgery) and M.D.(Medicine) and faculty of law offers Ph.D. only.
It was further pointed out that the prospectus and Karachi University Entry Test form can be downloaded from the website www.uok.edu.pk and complete application along with required documents and processing fee of Rs.1,000 in form of pay order in favour of University of Karachi can be submitted to the respective departments/ Centres/ Institutes from April 2 to 17.
The list of eligible candidates for Karachi University Entry Test will be displayed on website and departmental notice board on April 23.
Eligible candidates for Karachi University Entry Test will be required to collect Admit Cards from April 24 to May 5 from relevant Departments/Centres/Institutes. The Karachi University Entry Test will be held on Sunday, May 6.
