Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that the Punjab government has paid special attention to the welfare of young generation, which is the future of the country. He stressed upon the male and female students to spend their maximum time for getting knowledge.
He was addressing a ceremony as a chief guest held in connection with giving away cash prizes among 71 male and female students, who won positions in the divisional level competitions in literary programmes of Chief Minister Punjab at District Council Hall Dera Ghazi Khan.
He stressed the need for providing quality education and training to the children as knowledge brought out the human from the darkness of ignorance.
Khosa said that the Punjab government had encouraged the talented students at all level.
He said that provision of educational scholarships, educational and recreational visits in and outside the country and guard of honour were parts of this process.
He said that besides education, literary programmes and sports competitions had also polished the abilities of the students. 18 position holders were from district D G Khan, 25 from district Muzaffargarh, 16 from district Layyah and 12 from district Rajanpur.
