PML-N to countinue playing role for strengthening democratic process: Maiza Hameed

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Maiza Hameed on Saturday said that the PML-N government played a vital role in strengthening democratic process in the country.

Talking to Radio Pakistan she said , Pakistan’s stability and strengthening of democracy is top most priority of the present government.

Holding general elections in time was also important for stability of the system, she said adding that beside criticising, media should also play its positive role for highlighting achievements of the government.

Maiza Hameed said after the announcement of Senate elections' schedule the rumors have been eliminated that senate elections will not be held in time.  Some elements have been continuously trying to derail democratic system but will not succeed, she mentioned.
