Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday said that there would be no blackmailing by any group or party and the atmosphere of mutual understanding, unity and co-ordination would continue under the policy of reconciliation.
Talking to media at Kingri House, Shah said that Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) was a coalition partner of the present government and Pir Sahib Pagaro and President Asif Ali Zardari had agreed to work for peace, progress and prosperity of the province under the policy of reconciliation.
After visiting Benazirabad district, Sindh CM directly went to Kingri House and met spiritual leader of Hur Jamat and Chief of PML-F Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi. Both the leaders discussed matters of mutual interests and understanding including political situation of the country, socio-economic condition of Sindh, problems confronting people and other issues.
Shah said that Pir Sibghatullah Shah after becoming Pir Pagaro had came to Karachi for the first time so it was necessary to meet and pay respect to him. He said that policy of mutual understanding and reconciliation would continue for the betterment of the people of the province as the incumbent Pir Sahib Pagaro was also following the policy.
He further said that there would be no blackmailing by any group or party and the atmosphere of mutual understanding, unity and co-ordination would prevail under the policy of reconciliation. Regarding law and order situation and threatening letters received by provincial ministers and MPAs, the Chief Minister said that investigation had been ordered. "There is no need to be worry as high level investigation is underway to trace the persons behind the move," he added.
To another question about operation in Lyari, he said that there was no operation going on in Lyari. "Just raids are being conducted to arrest the criminals and extortionists," he added. He added that such raids were being conducted not only in Lyari but in the areas of 10 to 12 police stations of the city. Shah further said that 15 to 20 extortionists had so far been arrested. Pir Sahib Pagaro, Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi, Pir Sadruddin Shah (Younis Saeen) and others were also present on the occasion.
