Chief Minister, Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has said that a comprehensive "Placement Plan" for unemployed youth being implemented by the PPP government to provide income and employment opportunities to youngsters. The Chief Minister informed this while speaking as chief guest at the graduation ceremony organised by Sindh Vocational Training Institute (STEVTA) in partnership with Pakistan Air Force on Monday.
He said that Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Programme (BBSYDP) and Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) conceived under the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari were two important organs of this plan.
While appreciating the efforts of the PAF for providing qualitative training to the youths, the Chief Minister said that in addition to Pak Army, PAF has always rendered wonderful services especially in rescue and relief operations during last flood in 2010 and heavy rainfall in 2011.
He said that it was because of the services of PAF, lives of many innocent people were saved and now it is providing marvellous services for grooming the youths of Sindh for their enlightening future. He said that we have no match the specialisation which is possessed by PAF and we should take benefit of their specialties in other districts as well. The CM gave the certificates to the graduates of 2nd batch of the training institute.
Later-on while talking to the journalists, the CM said that Sindh was the founder province of Pakistan and any attempt for its division would be considered as the conspiracy against Pakistan. He said all political parties were against division of Sindh and people and press should not pay heed merely on anonymous slogans. Responding another question about law and order situation, Qaim said that comparatively, the law and order situation in Sindh was better.
He said that the target killing and heinous crimes have been curbed to large extend, but the street crime has been slightly increased and it is also being curbed with a strategy and full force. To another question, the Chief Minister said that casual incident does not means, the deterioration of law and order and added that same were being happened under the conspiracy to destabilise the democratic government. We have faced such conspiracies with success and also foil these nefarious designs in future as well.
Earlier, the Air Commodore Naveed Khaliq while delivering his key note address said that due to keen interest of President Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Air Chief, this institute for skill development was established at Nawabshah with latest equipments and machineries.
He said that Pak Airforce always had played active role in socio-economic uplift of people and was striving its hard to open new avenues of income and employment opportunities for the youths of Sindh under BBSYDP and STEVTA. He said that 90 candidates had passed out in first batch of this institute and 39 graduates of them have been worked in PAF as Airman and now these skilled have to handle costly Aircraft of PAF.
Later, the Sindh Chief Minister inaugurated Pakistan Airforce Information Centre at Nawabshah. The Sindh Minister for STEVTA Abdul Salam Thaheem, MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio, Secretary Culture Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Ahmed Bux Narejo and other officers and notables also attended the ceremony.
