Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Lie Jian visited the headquarters of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) at Azizabad. The Chinese ambassador also met with Deputy Convenor of the MQM Rabita Committee Dr Farooq Sattar, said a statement issued by MQM here on Saturday. Member of the Rabita Committee Kunwar Khalid Yunus and Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs Syed Faisal Sabzwari were also present.
Lie Jian was accompanied by Chinese Consul General in Karachi Zhangji Anxin, Vice Consul General, Pan Qingjiang, Consular Zhon Zheneheng, Third Secretary Tang Xin, and Consul Attachee Yin Minjun. The political, socio-economic circumstances of the country came under discussion during the meeting that lasted over 50 minutes. The Chinese ambassador praised the services of the MQM for the cause of democracy and strengthening of the democratic institutions in the country. Bilateral and friendly relations between Pakistan and China also came under discussion.
