Speaker, National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza will inaugurate the "Fourth Hari Melo" on March 25 at Laar Museum Ground, Badin. The Mela, which is being organised by the State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC), Hyderabad in collaboration with all commercial banks, will be attended Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, Sindh Minister for Agriculture, senior officials of different government departments dealing with agriculture and over 2,000 haris/farmers.
All stakeholders including commercial banks, Sindh Agriculture Department, farm machinery manufacturers, agriculture marketing companies (fertilisers, pesticides and seeds suppliers), Sindh Agriculture University, Tando Jam and provincial departments of livestock, dairy, animal husbandry and fisheries will set up their stalls at the Mela to create awareness about their products, services and initiatives for the benefit of farming community of the region.
Senior officials from the State Bank of Pakistan, SBPBSC and commercial banks will be available at the Mela to brief the farmers about the banking services for the agriculture sector. The experts will also brief the farmers about the latest research in agriculture sector for increasing farm productivity.
