Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has planned to induct around 5,000 employees after lifting up ban on recruitment by the government in the month of April. Spokesman FDE, Waqar Ashraf informed APP that "the directorate has prepared a case to induct around 5,000 new staff members including teaching and non-teaching employees to meet the needs of the FDE run educational institutions".
He said the directorate will advertise the posts as soon as the ban lifts and conduct proper test and interviews to appoint the employees. "The directorate will ensure complete transparency in the process of recruiting employees", he added. Ashraf said the institutions working under FDE were facing shortage of teachers of different subjects and now appointment of teachers will help facilitate the students.
Besides teachers, FDE will recruit clerks, administration and account officers, peons, gardeners and librarians. The FDE has not created any new posts during the last several years in spite of increasing the strength of educational institutions which has resulted in shortage of staff, he said. The Director General FDE has power to recruit up to grade 14 and the remaining positions would be sent to Federal Public Service Commission for selection, he added.
