HCCI rejects Sales Tax SRO 191

The President of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (HCCI) Gohar Ullah has rejected the Sales Tax SRO 191 on the sale of goods by registered and unregistered people. Gohar Ullah said that Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was restricting in the tax laws despite giving facilities to trader community. He said that trader community is very much concern over Sales Tax SRO due to which trade activities will be closed.
He urged that Sales Tax SRO must be taken back so the trade community can continue their business without any fear. Member of HCCI Managing Committee, Haji Muhammad Yaqoob told that it is mentioned in Sales Tax SRO that all the traders are directed to sale their goods 60 percent in March and 80 percent in May while 5000 rupees will be penalised on wrong entry of national tax number and CNIC which is unbearable. He said that implementation of SRO 191 will be a negative impact on tax culture.
