Rangers manager Ally McCoist says the club needs some stability, after losing three times in four matches since entering administration, with the threat of liquidation still hanging over Ibrox.
The Glasgow club on Saturday registered their second successive Scottish Premier League defeat, with a tax tribunal verdict on player payments awaited which could see them hit with a further bill of up to £75m (90m euros, $118m). Duff and Phelps, the administrators appointed to run the Glasgow giants, said three interested parties - believed to be former Rangers director Paul Murray's Blue Knights consortium, Sale Sharks Rugby Union owner Brian Kennedy and an American consortium - had all submitted indicative bids for the club. With players forced to take wage cuts of up to 75 per cent to keep the club financially afloat, McCoist admitted the uncertainty surrounding the club has not helped performances on the pitch.
