Taiwan stocks down

Taiwan stocks ended 0.82 percent lower on Friday, pressured by plastics plays after reports that chemical industries will be one of the hardest hit as a result of South Korea's Free Trade Agreements with the US and Europe. The main TAIEX index fell 66.68 points to 8,054.94, after opening up 0.11 percent.
Financial shares and electronics shares shed 0.78 percent and 0.75 percent respectively. TSMC was down 2.52 percent. LCD makers however advanced 1.02 percent, being the top gainers. The Taiwan dollar was up by T$0.061 to trade at T$29.509. Foreign investors were net buyers on Thursday, bringing their total buying to T$28.14 billion this month.
