Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) is contemplating a legal action against Younus Habib. This was stated by Shahbaz Sharif Chief Minister Punjab in a press conference here Wednesday. Shahbaz Sharif describing the allegations of Younus Habib as a pack of lies, said that latter should be asked if he had a proof of the Mehran Bank money, that he claimed, was sent to him (Shahbaz Sharif) through Telegraphic Transfer (TT).
He said that a decision had been made to claim damages and go into litigation against Younus Habib. He asked Younus Habib to prepare for appearing before the court with relevant evidence of his allegation. Chief Minister Punjab said all were aware of the shady role of former Mehran Bank chief, Younus Habib and the crimes he had been involved in.
He said that attempts in futility had been made from time to time to implicate Nawaz Sharif in Mehran Bank scam pointing that once again conspiracies were being hatched against the top slot of PML-N leadership. The Chief Minister Punjab posed question about the one who was using the man in the wheelchair. Shahbaz Sharif said that Younus Habib had altered his statement four times over the past in four days. He gave contradicting statements in every interview, he pointed.
Chief Minister dilated that Younus Habib in his affidavit submitted (Wednesday) has no mentioned of my and Nawaz Sharif's name, he pointed. Shahbaz Sharif said that it was beyond comprehension that PML-N a party that was a mega party was given only 2.5 million rupees as compared to huge amounts given to others. He dilated that allegations against them were slanderous, pointing out that photo copies of cheques given in scam were already lying with the court.
The chief minister dilated that if Younus Habib had a proof, then he should bring it forward, if he does so then they were willing to face the charges and the consequences. Shahbaz Sharif in the press conference stated that it was him, who had raised voice against those who had got their loans written off. He said that his family that got loan of Rs 48 million paid back Rs 102.1 million in return to Mehran Bank. He dilated that if some proof was given that they have got written off some loan by any bank, then they were ready to face any consequence.
He said that Asif Jamshed who had committed fraud in Habib Bank and was posted as Managing Director of Bank of Punjab was dismissed by their govt, later fled away to New York. He posed query that did Younus Habib give them the amount when their government was dismissed. Sharif talking of the role of agencies said that they would have to answer about their role in the court.
