LHC seeks report from federal, Punjab governments

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday sought a report from federal and provincial government in a petition filed against transferring Sheikh Zaid Hospital (SZH) to Punjab government. The paramedical staff of SZH through their counsel contended that SZH was gifted by Sheikh Zaid Bin Sultan and was run by the federal government as a trust.
He said that under the law a trust could not be transferred to any provincial government. He therefore prayed to the court to restrain the respondent government from transferring the SZH to provincial government.
