All clearance activities at Air Freight Unit (AFU) came to a halt on Monday, as the Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) observed complete strike against the cargo handlers at AFU.
According to Faisal Mustaq, general secretary, KCAA, the strike was observed against the cargo handlers at AFU but the licensees of preventive collectorate (Customs), instead of taking authorities and their clients on board to resolve the issue amicably, have given cold response, despite receiving notices under sections 26 and 207 of Custom Act 1969.
