HCCI hails decision to set up new university

Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) has hailed the announcement of Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan for establishing a university in Hyderabad district. A general body meeting of the HCCI at its office on Sunday said the setting up of the Jinnah University and a medical college would not just open high education avenues for the youth but also help accelerate the city's economic progress.
The meeting, chaired by the HCCI's President Seth Goharullah, expressed serious concern over the dilapidated infrastructure in Hyderabad's SITE area. It requested the government to take immediate measures to repair the broken roads and the drainage system.
The HCCI also voiced apprehensions over the increasing incidents of crime in the SITE area and called for greater security measures. HCCI's senior vice president Turab Ali Khwaja and other members also attended the meeting.
