A woman pilot Anita Qureshi and trainee pilot Waqar Asif, who died in a small aircraft crash in Lahore on Thursday, were laid to rest in their hometowns on Friday. According to details, the bodies of both victims arrived at Karachi on Friday where the body of instructor of a private aviation firm Anita Qureshi was sent to Hyderabad while victim Waqar son of Sheikh Asif was buried at Bhattaiabad Graveyard.
Deceased Waqar, who was the resident of Rabia City, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and the elder among four siblings, was going to tie the knot in August. He has completed his commercial pilot course in last December and at the time of incident he was flying to complete his flight training hours for license.
Similarly, late Anita Qureshi, daughter of Sikandar Qureshi, was a resident of Qasimabad and working as instructor in a private aviation firm in Lahore. She along with the trainee pilot lost her life after crash of the aircraft in Model Town area of Lahore. Her body was brought to Qasimabad on Friday morning where her last rites were held at Bukhari Shah Graveyard in the presence of a large number of people of the area According to details, the plane Sesna 152 carried both victims crashed in the garage of a house no 147-block H located in Model Town area of Lahore on Thursday.
