Zia-ul Mustafa Awan, FCMA, is elected President of ICMAP for the period 2012-2014. He is the youngest president of the institute, since the institute's inception in the year 1951. He has attained this position at the age of 37 years, which is a symbol of emerging young leadership particularly in the professional institutions and generally as a global trend.
Zia-ul Mustafa Awan served the institute in various capacities, since 2006. He was elected as Honorary Secretary and Chairman of Journal & Publications Committee of ICMAP for the period 2009-2011, Chairman of ICMAP Lahore Branch Council (LBC) for the year 2008, Secretary of LBC for the year 2007 and Member of LBC for the year 2006. During this period, he was also the Chairman of Research & Development Committee LBC 2008 and Chairman CPD Committee of LBC 2007 and LBC 2006.
Zia has a vast professional experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering and services sector. Presently, he is serving as Chief Financial Officer & Business Administrator of Expo Lahore (Pvt) Limited, a Joint Stock Company owned by the federal government through ministry of commerce and Punjab government through industries department with a mandate to develop and operate Lahore international expo centre.
He is performing his duties since the inception of the project of Lahore expo when this project was just an idea. He played a vital role in developing the project feasibility; project financing, project management & implementation. He has put in his meritorious services to ensure the successful execution of this venture and due to such dedicated efforts; the idea of Expo Centre Lahore is a reality now.
