Seoul shares end up despite North Korea uncertainty

Published Updated

SEOUL: Seoul shares ended up 0.9 percent on Tuesday, posting a speedy recovery from sharp falls in the previous session on the sudden death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, with gains led by battered automakers and refiners.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index finished up 0.91 percent at 1,793.06 points.
