The annual elections for five seats of member directors at the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) Board for the next term of 2012 would be held on December 29, 2011. As many as seven candidates are contesting the elections while five of them would be elected as member directors at KSE Board. The contesting candidates are Muhammad Yasin Lakhani, Zafar Siddiq Moti, Haji Ghani Haji Usman, Abdul Majeed Adam, Yaqoob Habib, Muhammad Saad Maniar and Saeed Ahmed Butt.
The KSE had received eight nominations; however one withdrawal from Muhammad Qasim Lakhani was received on Thursday. The five elected directors represent members at the KSE Board while four other directors are nominated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
