Toxic liquor claims three lives; 10 in critical condition

Three people were killed after taking toxic liquor in Gadap Town, while condition of another 10 is stated to be critical. According to police, the incident took place in Sukhiya Goth near Ayub Goth in the jurisdiction of Sohrab Goth police station. The deceased persons were identified as Allauddin, Essa and Naeem.
The bodies and injured were taken to a private hospital and later their families took the bodies without any legal formalities. Police said they were searching for the families of the victims to register FIR of the incident, but yet to trace them. In charge Ayub Goth police post Hidayat Shar said that the toxic liquor was reportedly brought from New Karachi and added that they had conducted raids to arrest that person, who sold the liquor, but he managed to flee before police reached his hideout. He said the police were also trying to trace the affected persons for registering the case.
