Relations between Pakistan, Thailand: Pakistan Post to issue commemorative postage stamp

Pakistan Post will issue a Commemorative Postage Stamp of Rs 8 denomination on Tuesday (today) to commemorate 60 anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Thailand, which were established in the year 1951.
The stamp of 50.50 x 35 mm size depicts Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore and Victory Monument Bangkok. Stamp also shows the flags of both the countries and on the bottom is inscribed 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Thailand.
Additional Director General (Operations) Pakistan Post, Fazli Sattar Khan has said that Pakistan and Thailand Post provide an important platform to the people of both the countries to interact, identify opportunities, and translate them into concrete ventures and get fruits of their labour, trade which can enhance commerce and trade between the two countries.
To mark the occasion an unveiling ceremony of the stamp will be here held at Auditorium Postal Staff College. The Commemorative Postage Stamp along with a special post mark and first day cover of the issue will be available from today for public consumption and philatelists at all General Post Offices in the country.-PR
