LHC reinstates woman civil judge

A Lahore High Court subordinate judiciary service tribunal has reinstated a woman civil judge, the services of whom were terminated for not submitting asset details. LHC Administration Committee had terminated Saira Naureen from service along with two other woman civil judges in 2006.
Ms Naureen had filed an appeal against the decision of administration commission and stated that the other terminated civil judges had been reinstated by the high court district judiciary service tribunal. Therefore, she said, under the law consistency she deserved the same relief. The tribunal, accepting her appeal, reinstated her to service.
