oil-barrelsLONDON: Brent crude futures extended gains on Monday, up $1 to $104.35 a barrel as the dollar index fell, rendering dollar-denominated commodities such as oil more affordable to buyers in other currencies.

By 1020 GMT, Brent crude was 86 cents firmer at $104.21 a barrel, reversing earlier losses.
